2020 Chevrolet Corvette First Look near Merrillville, IN
With the official release of the 2020 Corvette just about a month away, our team here at Garber Chevrolet Highland wants to share the details we have so far! For all the latest release information, give our team a call at 219-924-3344. We can’t wait to see this sports car arrive in our showroom.
A New Mid-Engine Corvette
Although Chevrolet won’t release official photos and details until July 18th of this year, we do know that it will be a special mid-engine version of the iconic sports car. It will be known as the C8 for the eighth generation of this track-powered coupe. Many of the details are unknown but one thing is certain – this vehicle has been a long time in the making. Rumors have come and gone about a mid-engine Corvette, with each recent iteration putting the notion to rest for a while. Fans and driving enthusiasts everywhere finally got their wish this past April when an official release date was announced by Chevrolet. According to the manufacturer website, this Next Generation Corvette “is the most anticipated Corvette ever. Each innovation, each achievement has driven is to this moment.”
Fresh Logo Design
One fresh feature we can confirm is a new logo design. The overall characteristics stay true to the current Corvette logo, but the updated one has a more modern, graphic look. Gone is the gap between the checkered flag and the bowtie emblem, creating two distinct winged sections. Complementing the clean aesthetic is the removal of the tiny bar below the fleur-de-lis symbol in the top right-hand corner. We are intrigued to see how this updated logo will look on the exterior and is sure to become a collector item when it comes to Corvette merchandise.
The Corvette Legacy
Since it was first introduced in 1953 as GM’s advertised dream car, the Corvette has been winning the hearts of consumers with its eye-catching exterior design and innovative performance. From the rounded curves of the 1950’s and to sharper lines and the now-iconic wide hood of the mid-1960s and 1970s, as well as the aerodynamic C4 of the 1980s and 1990s, the Corvette has always stood out in a crowd. Be sure to check out our inventory to see what versions we currently have in stock or feel free to let us know if there’s a particular year you are looking for.
We hope that this 2020 Chevrolet Corvette first look near Merrillville, IN, has you excited for its official release. Stay tuned for more feature updates and performance specs for this all-new model coming soon to Garber Chevrolet Highland!
