Brake Pads & Rotors Service Near Me in Highland

When you press down on the brake pedal, there’s only one thing you want to have happen – your vehicle coming to a stop. That’s why you should never settle for anything less than the best when it comes to brake repairs. At Garber Chevrolet Highland, our ASE-certified service technicians have the knowledge and skill to tackle brake repairs on any vehicle make, model, or age, so you know you’re in good hands.

Do you notice your vehicle’s brakes vibrating or squealing as you come to a stop? Does your vehicle pull to one side as you’re braking? Or perhaps your brakes aren’t as responsive as they used to be? If you’re experiencing any of these uncomfortable driving situations, it’s a sign that the brakes are in need of repair.

Even if you think your brakes are working fine, it still doesn't hurt to have them inspected at least once a year to ensure they’re in good condition. If you tend to put a lot of miles on your vehicle or spend a lot of time in stop-and-go traffic, your brakes can wear down faster than expected. By examining your brake pad’s conditions and learning your driving habits, our service technicians can recommend how much life is left in the brakes before they need to be replaced.

Brakes FAQ's

Your brakes may need to be replaced if:
  • They are not as responsive as normal
  • Your car pulls to one direction when braking
  • You hear a high pitched sound when you brake
  • Your brake pedal pulsates when coming to a stop
If you suspect your brakes need to be replaced, stop into Garber Chevrolet Highland or contact one of our friendly service advisors to schedule a complete brake inspection. During the inspection, we will test all components of your vehicle’s braking system to determine whether a repair is needed now or later on down the road.
The frequency at which your brakes need to be serviced or replaced depends on your vehicle and driving style. We recommend having your brakes checked annually to guarantee your safety and your vehicle’s stopping ability. However, if you drive more than average, are “rough” on your brakes, or travel through stop-and-go traffic frequently, you may want to have your brakes checked more often.
If a brake pedal is either harder or softer than normal, there’s a good chance that some element of the braking system has malfunctioned. A leak in the system or incorrect brake adjustments are two possible causes.
If your brake pedal drops to the floor, there may be air in the brake hydraulics. It can also be caused by a malfunction in the braking system or a leak elsewhere.
Garber Chevrolet Highland takes pride in repairing all vehicle makes, models, and ages. Whether you purchased your car from us or another dealership, we are happy to help with your vehicle needs. If you have any questions about the service center , feel free to call us at (219) 553-8870.
