However, I consistently have issues with my name at Garber. My last name was mispronounced; I corrected it, was met with a giggle, and no effort to note the correction. When I was called from the lobby, my name was mispronounced again—so I didn’t realize I was the one being called. To make matters worse, all follow-up texts and emails are addressed to my spouse, despite the fact that I am the lead signer on the vehicle, I attended the appointment, and I paid the bill. This may seem minor, but it’s not. It’s a pattern—and it comes across as dismissive and outdated. Women have purchasing power and deserve to be addressed accurately and respectfully. This isn’t the first time I’ve felt that way at your dealership. Please get this right—because next time, the person you keep addressing can pay the bill.Response from Garber Chevrolet Highland
